How To Pull Off The No-Socks Look

How To Pull Off The No-Socks Look

As street fashion becomes more mainstream, one trend that's likely to be seen on an increasing number of well-dressed men is bare ankles. Once considered to be a big fashion faux-pas, a recent wave of new designers have brought the sockless look to even tailored clothing. In fact, renowned designer Thom Browne once said, "ankle is the new male cleavage." And, we couldn't agree more, after all who doesn't like cleavage?

Now don't get us wrong, we love socks - long, short, coloured, striped - all kinds. Wearing them has lot of advantages, too. But, there is something mature about going sockless. It's an indication about your evolution in style without making you come across as too much of a rebel. However, going sockless is no easy feat. It's an art, something that is practiced and perfected over time. And, as with most things in style, there are a few general guidelines here that will help you pull off the no-sock look. We try and uncover them all.

Whether Weather Is Appropriate

One of the first things to bear in mind is the weather. If it's windy, cold or raining outside, then perhaps skipping the socks or feet warmers isn't such a good idea. No one really cares much for wet ankles. Second, and perhaps the most important thing to keep in mind is when and where to bear your ankles. Heading out with your friends to a pub? Sure, go ahead and skip those socks. Heading off to an office party organized by your boss? You might want to keep them on. Knowing when to bust those ankles is of paramount importance.

Show Your Feet Some TLC

Picking the right shoes to go sockless tend to become more of a habit, and therefore no longer raises concerns eventually. However, the one aspect that will probably never change is the part about taking proper care of your feet - in order to avoid any skin issues that may come with the sporting of bare ankles. Here's how to take care of your feet in this weather.

Shoe Speak

If you've finally decided to embrace the sockless trend, you best be ready to care not only for your feet but also for your shoes. The first rule to remember is to give your shoes resting period set between 24-48 hours after you've worn them once. In simple terms - don't wear the same it's advised to use old newspaper to help the shoes dry Tips

Style Tips

1) Wearing skinny jeans is a hundred percent failsafe method to go sockless, therefore, keep your hems close - speTips
cally with a circumference between 13-15 inches.

2) The perfect shoes for going sockless are loafers. They are smart and chic, and give the necessary edge to the look. For office, wear thin-soled derbies or semi-casual brogues.

How To Make Money With Google AdSense

Make Money With Google AdSense

Adsense is great, and if you want to learn more about it read on.

Adsense is one of the most convenient ways to make additional money from your website.
What is Google Adsense?
All you do is copy some code into your site to display the ads, and you earn every time someone clicks. You may also earn from impressions in some cases.
All this is derived from a program they call Adwords
You often see these ads displayed above the free/organic results and along the right side of the page on Google.com.
These are called Sponsored Results, and the advertisers are paying a certain amount of money per click for these ads.
AdSense is your revenue share from AdWords ads. When someone clicks, you earn roughly 68% of the click and Google gets the rest.
AdSense is an auction-based system that allows advertisers to compete for those spots. Whomever has the highest bid and most "quality" ad, gets the top spot and so forth.
It's a great program that can help drive additional income to your website, and it's really best for websites that are mainly content driven.
The more content you have, the more Google can get a sense for what your site is about and better match the ads to your website.
Please make sure you read this entire article. AdSense is not a get-rich-quick scheme and it takes a lot of work to make money. Don't think that just because you join, you are guaranteed to make big money.

How Much Can You Earn With AdSense?
The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount.  I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.
Getting over $1 is probably very rare, although it does happen from time to time. However, you will find that most of your earnings will be on the lower end of the spectrum.
It's important to note that I cannot estimate how much you will earn based on your traffic. People always want to know what the average amount is per click.
No one knows the answer to this except Google, so don't let anyone try to tell you any different. It would be impossible for myself or any AdSense publisher to give this information because the ads all cost different prices and we have no idea what advertisers are paying.
However, there are some niches that obviously pay more. So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like sex, make money, etc. may earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on
The more competitive the search term, the more the advertisers pay and the more you earn as a publisher.
Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.
For example, if you see that you've made $12.60 today from 9 clicks then you can calculate that your average click-thru commission was $1.40 per click.  That's as detailed as their stats will get.  Also remember, that's only an average.  You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.
The amount you'll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience's interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.
Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about.  That way you'll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.
So don't waste time and start blogging. ;-)

5 times Leonardo DiCaprio truly deserved the Oscar

1. The Aviator (200I'll admit the movie was a bit of a stretch but the only reason why you didn't mind the massive length and overtly dramatic treatment was Leonardo's pitch perfect portrayal of Howard Hughes' descent from an eccentric billionaire to that of a reclusive, almost crazy man in solitude. His performance reaches newer heights of cinematic genius towards to penultimate moments of the movie as you come out awed and blown away.

2. Blood Diamond (2006)

Shining like a diamond (I couldn't resist saying that!) in this otherwise gory and mostly all over the place action movie, Leonardo proves why he's the ever-dependable actor, lending much-needed gravitas and emotional depth amidst all the war sequences happening around. Plus, that accent he put on was so on-point, it alone was reason enough to get him the award.

3. Shutter Island (2010)

One of my favourite Scorsese movies, this thriller had a lot going right including the brilliant ending. But the ace here, apart from the direction was certainly Leonardo's portrayal of US Marshal Teddy Daniels who's out to investigate the goings-on on the island. He was restrained and layered and displayed no overt heroism, letting the film take precedence.

4. Django Unchained (2012)

He may not have been the lead here but you couldn't have walked out of the theatre marvelling at Leonardo's brilliance on screen. He played a ruthless and vicious man who doesn't blink an eyelid before feeding a slave to the dogs, literally. Yet, you continue to stare at him with rapt attention simply because Leo truly looks like he's having fun being so bad on screen. Unfortunately, he didn't even get nominated for this one.

5. Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

My personal favourite Leo performance, the film had him playing a highly unlikeable, mostly despicable man who's all obsessed with making money, morals or no morals. It's only because of his wonderful portrayal that you end up liking Jordan even though he's busy doing all that he does on screen. Leonardo was hilarious, sleazy and nasty and every bit deserving of that award. Damn you, McConnaughey!

Here's hoping that 'The Revenant' breaks the Academy Awards jinx for the powerhouse performer in 2016.

Let's Remember Severus Snape For The True Hero He Was

Let's Remember Severus Snape For The True Hero He Was

As a hero disguised as a villain, Severus Snape was forced to bear the brunt of a lot of hate until we all realized just how incredible he was. We're just lucky that J.K. Rowling -- and actor Alan Rickman -- knew his true allegiance all along.

A few years ago, YouTube user kcawesome13 compiled a video depicting the magical story of Severus Snape in chronological order, spanning all eight "Harry Potter" films. It shows Snape's most important moments (and his true story) in the way it was meant to be told.

"I made this video to counteract the overwhelming amount of Snape hate I've seen on Tumblr over the last couple years," writes kcawesome13.

As we mourn Alan Rickman's death, let us remember one of his greatest characters -- Professor Snape -- in the way he ought to be remembered.

Rehana- THE FIGHTER

Rehana Is A Badass Kurdish Fighter Who Has Killed 100 ISIS Fighters. This Is Her Story

Since ISIS began to spew venom in Syria and parts of Iraq, a growing number of rebel armies came up in order to fight against the atrocities of the self-proclaimed caliphate. One such army is the Yekineyen Parastina Jin or Women Protection units (YPJ). This unit is an all female, independent militia which is helping the People’s protection units to fight against ISIS. One brave fighter who is believed to have killed at least 100 ISIS fighters is known by the name Rehana.

Rehana became a public figure while fighting for the border city of Kobane (or Kobani) in Syria against ISIS. The picture of her holding up the peace sign was re-tweeted 5000 times last year. Although reports claimed that the fighter had since been killed and beheaded by the ISIS, close friends have clarified that she successfully escaped the hellhole in Kobani. She is a trained assassin and has been fighting ISIS to protect her city.

Many journalists who have been in close contact with Rehana have quashed the rumors that she has single-handedly killed 100 ISIS fighters. But many still believe that it is being done to save her from becoming a target against a very strong ISIS army.
Since she became a symbol of Kurdish resistance, almost 10,000 women warriors have joined the YJP making it possible to push back ISIS in the border city. The stories of bravery of women fighters are not new to this town though. Last year Arin Mirkan blew herself up near Kobani killing 10 ISIS militants and saving a village from complete devastation.

The ‘girls with guns’ as they are often called by the English media are true inspiration of how women can play an active role in confronting traditional gender expectations in a region wrought with death and destruction.

TIT for TAT to the EAST INDIA COMPANY

The East India Company That Ruled
Over Us For 100 Years Is Now
Owned By An Indian

The history of Indian Independence has come a full circle. It
is indeed a matter of pride that the East India Company that
ruled us for 100 years, is owned by an Indian today.
Mumbai-born entrepreneur Sanjiv Mehta bought major
stake in the company with a whopping $15 million in 2010,
and became the proud owner of the company.

Born in Mumbai in a family of diamond merchants, Sanjiv
managed to purchase the company from around 40 stake
holders in a process that was long-drawn and tedious. But
he did not give up, even after the acquisition. He said,
“When I took over, my objective was to understand its
history. I took a sabbatical from all other business and this
became the single purpose in my life.” He travelled
extensively studying the history and business of the
company, visited its trading posts and museums, studied
old records – basically, he did not leave room for error of
ignorance.

Speaking on the emotional and historic relevance of the
purchase, Mehta had said, “ Put yourself in my shoes for a
moment. On a rational plane, when I bought the company I saw
gold at the end of the rainbow. But, at an emotional level as
an Indian, when you think with your heart as I do, I had this
huge feeling of redemption — this indescribable feeling of
owning a company that once owned us.”

Under the leadership of Mehta, the brand aims at selling
luxury gift sets, teas, coffees, jams and other such goods
via an e-commerce website. Of course, this is not a purely
emotional purchase and Mehta means business. He
launched the brand and its flagship store on Independence
Day in the same year.

The East India Company, which was started in 1600, was
the first and biggest organization that dominated trade in
the 17 and early 18 century. Entering India in 1757, it
gained foothold on Indian land in no time. Crushing
indigenous traders and farmers, it soon established
monopoly over our country’s produce, and crippled
homegrown business.

From science & technology to business, Indians are ruling
the world today. Be it Sundar Pichai becoming the CEO of
Google, or Lakshmi Mittal being one of the richest men in
Britain, Indians have proved their talent and enterprise
everywhere. For a country that was oppressed by the British
for 200 years, that’s an awful lot to have achieved in so
less a time.

As they say, the power to change the course of history lies
in the hands of those who dream. And Sanjiv Mehta is yet
another Indian who has proved this true.

Usain Bolt - Still the FASTEST

Speed of a falcon's dive is 322 kilometre per hour. Average
speed of Usain Bolt sprinting across the race track is
around 25 kilometre per hour. Much like the falcon, the
Jamaican athlete does not miss his target. Bolt has taken
athletics to a new level. He has won the world
championship for eight consecutive years. He has never
come second in the Olympics. The jovial Jamaican has also
become a household name due to his people skills.

Here are some facts about Usain Bolt, the guy who sprinted
towards indisputability in no time:

1-) Bolt was 14 when he got his first medal at an 80 metre
hurdle at his Alma Mater William Knibb Memorial High. He
bagged a bronze
2-) At 15, Bolt won the 2002 Junior Kingston Championship. He
is the youngest man ever to do this
4-) Bolt is the first athlete to achieve a 'double double' as he
won both 100 metre and 200 metre races in 2008 and 2012
Olympics, consecutively. He has also achieved a 'double
triple' by obtaining the 4x100 metre gold medal in both the
events
5-) His 100 metre world record of 9.58 seconds in Berlin
Olympics, 2009, remains unbeaten
6-) Bolt is the only athlete to have run a 200 metre sprint under
20 seconds, 19.19 to be exact

Bolt's celebratory gesture "To Di World" became a huge hit
among the youths and continues to be imitated
His nicknames also reiterate his sporting achievements.
"Lightning Bolt" and "Bolt from the blue" are two of his most
famous nicknames

Apart from sprint, Bolt also has interest in various sports. In
order to make his leg muscles work better, Bolt would
practise fast bowling when he was younger. He had also
revealed his intentions of playing for Manchester United
Brand-savvy Bolt has his own restaurant in Kingston named
Tracks & Records. He also launched Bolt, a gaming app on
Apple iOS platform. He also has his own headphone range

This 14-Year-Old Teenager Makes Up
To £1,000 Per Night By Simply
Eating Fast Food On Webcam

This 14-year-old basically has a job that basically all
foodies will kill for. Kim Sung-jin from Seol makes upto
£1,000 an evening by eating fried chicken, delivery pizza or
Chinese food, while being watched by thousands of his fans
via a live video feed.
He is better known as ‘Patoo’, and is one of the youngest
broadcasters on Afreeca TV, an app for live-broadcasting
video online that was launched in 2006.
The kid has been streaming since he was about 11 and
sometimes invites his friends on the show to eat with him.
And then there are times when he wears a blonde wig and
dresses as a woman for fun while eating junk food, of
course. His most successful episode till date has made him
an unbelievable £1,100. That’s actually literally what he
does in all seriousness.

This sort of content for live audiences in Korea is
apparently quite predominant. In fact Afreeca TV, which has
eight million unique monthly visitors, has become an
important part of social life for Korean teenagers.
Shows like Kim's are known as Meok Bang, a mash-up
Korean word of broadcast and eating. They are the most
popular and profitable among some 5,000 live shows that
are aired live on Afreeca TV.
Moreover, this dude also never seems to put on any weight
no matter how much he eats. Guess, it’s safe to say that
one will never fully understand the culture of South Korea!

Missing MH370!

Debris found on an Indian Ocean island last week is from
MH370, Malaysia's prime minister announced on Thursday,
confirming for the first time that the plane which
mysteriously disappeared 17 months ago had crashed.

"Today, 515 days since the plane disappeared, it is with a
very heavy heart that I must tell you that an international
team of experts has conclusively confirmed that the aircraft
debris found on Reunion Island is indeed from MH370,"
Prime Minister Najib Razak told reporters.
#MissingMH370Found Debris Reaches French Lab.
Matches Boeing 777, Same Type As MH370!
"We now have physical evidence that, as I announced on
24th March last year, flight MH370 tragically ended in the
southern Indian Ocean." Najib's widely expected
announcement ends an agonizing wait for families of the
239 passengers and crew who have demanded concrete
proof of what happened to their missing loves ones.
But next-of-kin, investigators, and the aviation industry are
still left with the vexing question of what caused the
Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft to inexplicably divert
on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014.

The flight apparently veered out over the Indian Ocean,
flying for hours after its communications and tracking
systems were shut off, in what remains one of the biggest
mysteries in the history of flight.
Najib gave no indication that the analysis of the debris
yielded any clues into the cause of the disappearance. "I
would like to assure all those affected by this tragedy that
the government of Malaysia is committed to do everything
within our means to find out the truth of what happened," he
said.

"MH370's disappearance marked us as a nation. We mourn
with you, as a nation."
The piece of debris, a wing component called a flaperon,
was found last week on a beach on the French island La
Reunion, near Madagascar. It was flown to the French city
of Toulouse where it was examined on Wednesday by
French and Malaysian technical experts, and
representatives from Boeing to determine any link to
MH370. Many relatives accuse Malaysia's government and
the airline of a bungled response to the disaster, possible
cover-up, and insensitive treatment of families, charges that
are vehemently denied.

How Every Indian Is Feeling After The Porn Ban!!!

Bans can be brutal. And my Indian brethren would agree
with me right now as we stare at the ice cold,
unapologetic message that pops on our laptop/mobile
screens whenever we try to log into our favourite sites
these days:

"This site has been blocked as per the instructions of the
competent authority."

We know you're depressed, we know you are bored and
we know how to cheer you up. Here are some memes which
will leave you LOLing hard:
